Meet Spark Plug!

Spark Plug is about 13 weeks old and weighs about 15 lb. We believe he is a lab/pit mix, but we really don't know for sure. He was a stray that was turned in to a rescue friendly shelter, then entrusted to WAG Animal Rescue.

Sparky is a very outgoing and active young man, who will require training to become the awesome dog he is capable of being. He has some rather large paws, so we feel he will be a large boy when fully grown.

This sweetie really enjoys being around both people and other dogs. He is fostered with several large dogs, and he absolutely loves to play with them.

Sparky is full of puppy habits, like chewing anything around, and he is not yet house trained. He is highly food motivated, so that usually makes training easier. He does know sit, and we are working on crate training and walking on a leash.

Spark Plug is vaccinated, de-wormed, on flea and heart worm preventative, and micro-chipped. He must have a fenced yard and no small children under 8. No apartments or condos. He would not do well in a house where he would be locked in a crate for 8 hours a day. Spark Plug would do best with an experienced dog owner.

His adoption fee is $250.00 (cash or credit card) which includes a $50 deposit that you get back once he is neutered. This sweetheart will be at the Livonia PetSmart on Saturdays from 11-3. Come up and meet this cutie!

A Little Jello With Your Pudding?

Meet Wiggly, Jiggly Pudding!

Pudding is an adorable kitten that loves to play and cuddle! He has a very mild form of Cerebellar Hypoplasia (CH). Most people that meet him, probably could not even tell he has this condition. He can run all over, including up and down stairs.

Pudding will wobble a bit and his head will wobble when excited. He will occasionally fall down if he tries to turn around too quickly. He just looks like a very clumsy kitten.

Pudding can eat and drink with no problem, and uses the litter box. He loves to play with other kittens and toys, but his favorite thing to do is snuggle on your lap. Pudding is fostered with 5 large dogs and other cats and has no problem with them.

Kittens and cats can live happy, full lives with CH. CH is a neurological disease and basically means the cat has a balance problem, it is also known as Wobbly Cat Syndrome. You can find out more about this condition at http://chcat.org/about-ch-cats/

Pudding is the sweetest little boy ever! He and his sister Jello were rescued together, and we would love to find one home for both Jello and Pudding, but it is not necessary.

Jello has a more severe form of CH. She can move all over but can only take about 4 to 6 steps at a
Jello
time. Jello can eat and drink with no problem and uses the litter box. These two are hilarious to watch together! They are constant entertainment and they both love to cuddle! They were born July 30th, 2014.

No medication is needed for them. Both are very good-natured and VERY sweet. We hope you do not pass them up just because of this condition, as they are normal in every other way!

Pudding's adoption fee is $75. (cash or credit card). He has been neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, combo tested, and been given flea prevention.

This sweetheart will be at the Livonia PetSmart on Saturdays from 11-3. Come up and meet this cutie!

He gets along great with other dogs and most cats (if they tolerate playful dogs!) He is almost housebroken and loves his crate.

This sweetie would do best in a home with other dogs to play with and older kids if possible. He is a quick learner and will make someone a loyal companion.

Open Your Heart And Home To Brandi!

WAG Animal Rescue welcomes sweet little Brandi to our group! She is a 5 yr old small Poodle mix, weighing about 8 lbs.

This sweet girl was the unfortunate victim of an elderly owner who did not spay or neuter her animals, which quickly developed into a hoarding situation. She, along with other animals, were neglected and not taken proper care of. She is a bit shy, timid and unsure of herself. She will need a patient owner to help her build up her self confidence.

She is very sweet and quite. She's scared of the recent change and quite unsure of her new surroundings. Surprisingly, Brandi is potty trained and crate trained. She is currently in a foster home and has lived her whole life with other dogs.

Brandi is spayed, micro-chipped and current with her vaccines. She has tested negative for heart-worm and is currently on heart-worm prevention and has been dewormed. Please welcome Brandi into your home and show her what a "forever" home is!

Brandi's adoption fee is $250.00 (cash or credit card)

DON'T STRIKE JAMES OUT

James is a big, handsome, friendly, lovable, adult, male, neutered cat. Why in the world has he been at the shelter since late summer? Well, sadly, James has two strikes against him. He's a black cat and he's a senior. Oh sure, lots of folks come in to see our kittens and calicos, but then they walk right on by ol' James. Poor guy, he's starting to feel like no one wants him. Won't you be that very special kind of person who will give James a loving home for the rest of his years? Remember, black cats steal your heart, not your soul!

If you are interested in me come visit me at the Wyandotte Adoption Center @ 1170 Grove St, Wyandotte. You will need to fill out an adoption application which you can do there or online at: http://wacshelter.com/cform.html

Adoption fee is $ 65.00. This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccs and combo test.

LILO NEEDS A RESCUE

Lilo came to our shelter as a very scared girl. She would shrink and shake at the sight of anyone, especially men. But we've been working with her and she's becoming quite the charmer, even with the fellows now. She still needs some work, but her playful, sparkling personality is finally coming out. Still, right now she's not the most adoptable dog and our shelter is full. This means her time here may be short. We've gotten quite attached to her and really want to see her find a good home. She needs a special family with lots of love who will be patient while she adjusts. Lilo would probably be best as an only dog, at least at first.
Here's a short video of Lilo in the snow:

Adoptions are through Wyandotte Adoption Center (WAC) and the fee is $ 95.00.
This includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccs and heartworm test.

This dog is currently being housed at the Downriver Central Animal Control facility.
